Birchbank Self Catering Cottage

Stay in a character cottage in an undiscovered part of the Lake District. This stone built beamed cottage is on a Lakeland sheep farm in open countryside only half a mile from the Cumbria Way.

There are many footpaths and bridleways around Birchbank from which you can enjoy the marvellous views over the Duddon Estuary and Coniston Old Man, with only the sheep and birds for company.Birchbank is only two miles from the A5092 along an unfenced road giving easy access to the whole of the Lake District.

The cottage is semi-detached to the farmhouse. On the first floor there is a double bedroom with washbasin and a view over the fells, and a twin bedded room, both with panel heaters. On the ground floor there is a lounge/kitchen/dining room which is well furnished with a comfortable sofa and two armchairs, a pine table and chairs, a colour TV, fridge, electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster etc.. Heating is by storage radiator and coal effect electric fire. Also on the ground floor is the bathroom, with bath, shower, WC, washbasin and heated towel rail.

There is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A cot, high chair and a stair gate are available. Electricity and bed linen (not for the cot) are included. Towels can be hired.

Dogs are accepted by arrangement at a cost of £10 per week. Cycle storage is available.
